Investigation into Bomb Threat at Brindlee Mountain High School

10/04/2021

The Marshall County Sheriff's Office, working with the Marshall County Board of Education, is currently taking action following a bomb threat at Brindlee Mountain High School.

The threat was emailed to the school.  The principal immediately notified the Sheriff's Office.  Students at Brindlee Mountain High School and Brindlee Mountain Primary School have been evacuated until all searches are complete.  No one was hurt.

Following the first threat, another threat was reported of a possible weapon.  Student book bags are being searched to make sure there is no weapon on campus.  Administrators and staff are busy following procedures set for this type of situation.  Buses may run later this afternoon.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department is handling the investigation of both threats.
